Please find below the June edition of the monthly Commercial Vehicles newsletter. This month’s issue brings you updates on new launches and orders placed by regional buyers for trucks and ambulances. We are also pleased to highlight the optimism shown by GM Middle East, despite the troubles the company faces in the US. As the company has shown, business in the Middle East continues to push ahead despite the global economic turmoil and problems international manufacturers face in other markets. Caterpillar Dealers around the world will soon be able to offer bare chassis to original equipment manufactures (OEMs) who specialize in such applications as water trucks, high capacity waste and lube & fuel trucks.
   
Dubai has completed over 75% of construction work on a new bus depot for approximately 300 buses, which includes an electromechanical workshop, supply line, washing and cleaning facilities and accommodation for over 400 drivers.
   
Iran becomes an approved ‘test center’ for commercial vehicles in the Middle East, as Tousee Khodro Car Company improves its cooperation with well known European test centers to offer the most modern facilities to regional customers.
   
GM Mideast upbeat despite US turmoil
